ISO 9001
ISO 9000:2000 is an internationally recognized family of Quality Management System (QMS) standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). To be certified to the standard, companies must implement a QMS that is designed to continually improve performance while enhancing customer satisfaction. Such a QMS embraces the eight quality management principles upon which the standard is based, including: customer focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, factual approach to decision making, and mutually beneficial supplier relationships. Certification to ISO 9001:2000 reinforces to customers through an independent third-party that Smartronix operates a QMS in accordance with the standard.
Smartronix achieved registration for its service related processes in January 2005 just prior to the company’s 10-year anniversary confirming Smartronix’ core philosophy of ‘sustained excellence through continuous improvement’ was not just a catch phrase, but is truly how business is done; which was even further substantiated by the expansion of the ISO registration to include engineering solutions (products) in January 2007.
