Smartronix Awarded Contract to Develop Expansion Solutions for Panasonic CF-19

Smartronix was awarded a contract to provide Rugged Chassis
Extensions for the CF-19 line of Panasonic Toughbooks. The
Computech International (CTI) order calls for the development of
3 pre-production units, with the possibility of a larger
follow-on order of 250 or more units after initial product
delivery and testing. This CF-19 expansion solution will be used
by an undisclosed foreign defense force and will be procured as
part of a Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program. The
expansion solution will include a Cellular Antenna, an 802.11
Antenna, Active bi-directional antenna switch/amplifier, Video
Capture, a GPS Module, and a USB 4 port hub, along with the
other standard Smartronix enhancements for Panasonic Toughbooks.
The design and engineering will be accomplished through the
Smartronix Engineering Solutions Group, which is located at the
Smartronix Corporate Headquarters in California, Maryland. The
Engineering Solutions Group provides a wide range of services
and products, including value-added design and engineering
solutions for Panasonic's Toughbook line of rugged computers.
These solutions expand the Toughbooks' range of uses and provide
specialized features to include secured connectivity, power
options, expanded communications/multiport connectivity, and
night vision use.
