Smartronix Awarded Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) Support Contract
Stafford, VA –
10 December 2010 – Smartronix announced its award of
a three year, $1.5M contract supporting the Marine Corps Systems
Command Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), Information Systems
and Infrastructure Product Group (PG/ISI) covering the Marine
Corps Network and Infrastructure Services (PM MCNIS) Program
Office’s efforts to provide Information Technology support
services for the MCEN ESD. The ESD will be operated by the
Marine Corps Network & Operations Security Center (MCNOSC)
at the Information Technology Center (ITC) in Kansas City,
Missouri. Tasking will provide complete Information Assurance
(IA) and Service Desk Support. Smartronix is teamed with
Technology Associates International Corporation (TAIC), the
prime contractor in the execution of this task.
MCEN ESD support provided will cross all IT organizational
boundaries, ensuring reliable management and delivery of IT
services to USMC consumers. Functional requirements focus on a
comprehensive ESD, which will carry out appropriate IT Service
Management (ITSM) processes for multiple USMC Garrison IT
programs. The ESD will be implemented at an Enterprise level in
order to better support the overall garrison network realignment
and delivery of services, as well as integrated ITSM processes
and Network Common Operational Picture (NetCOP) toolsets.
Resulting success of this implementation will be improved
operational support of all Garrison Network Enterprise Services.
