Smartronix Receives Government Approved Purchasing System

California, Maryland – 13 March 2008 – Smartronix, Inc. receives Government Approved Purchasing System as recommended by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). Smartronix successfully completed its first Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR), and the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) has approved the Smartronix purchasing system for use on all Federal and commercial contracts. Smartronix’ approval on its first CPSR is particularly noteworthy as only 2% of companies nationwide are successful on their first attempt. The audit ensures a thorough understanding of all regulations necessary to process purchase orders and subcontracts under government contracts. Having an approved purchasing system significantly enhances Smartronix’ competitiveness by reducing the government’s risk – particularly for Government-wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs), Multiple Award Contracts (MACs), and other procurements that involve substantial volumes of subcontracting. In addition, the approved purchasing system enhances our efficiency and timeliness for awarding subcontracts on existing Federal contracts by removing the requirement to obtain advance Government authorization.
