Smartronix Expands Quality Management Portfolio with ISO 20000 Certification
Hollywood, MD –
16 December 2011 – Smartronix recently achieved ISO
20000 certification. This is in addition to ISO 9001
certification and SEI's CMMI® maturity level three rating, which
the company has maintained since 2005 and 2006 respectively. The
achievement places Smartronix in an elite category of world
class organizations who have attained third-party recognition in
three major quality categories – quality management systems;
hardware, software, and systems engineering; and now, IT service
management.
The ISO 20000 standard provides a framework for benchmarking
service delivery processes based on Information Technology
Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices, including:
service-level management, capacity management, continuity and
availability, information security, budgeting and accounting,
and service reporting as well as control, release, relationship
management, and resolution processes. Implementing ISO 20000
reduces operational risk, ensures contractual requirements are
met, confirms service quality, and increases an organization's
ability to deliver best-value services and solutions.
"Achieving ISO 20000 certification validates Smartronix'
long-standing philosophy of 'sustained excellence through
continuous improvement,'" states Trish Priddy, Vice
President of Quality of Assurance. "The independent
assessments provide industry recognition of our approach to
business and quality management, which is focused on assuring
client satisfaction by delivering high-quality products,
services, and solutions at the best value."
