Smartronix Helps Harvest for the Hungry
Hollywood,
Maryland - 19 November 2009 –
Smartronix employees far exceeded their own expectations, when
they presented a $2,000 donation to Harvest for the Hungry in
support of the Leonardtown High School’s (LHS) Student Council
Association drive. Harvest for the Hungry is a supplier of
Maryland Food Banks, which provides food across the state of
Maryland, wherever the need is the greatest. Since it was
founded in 1979, Maryland Food Banks have provided over 13.6
million pounds of food each year.
Smartronix President, Arshed Javaid, repeated the challenge he
offered employees last year; for the company to match employee
donations. "We were astounded that the employees were so
generous with their individual donations and feel this is a
significant way to achieve our company’s community goals" said
Javaid. "We continue to look for ways to support our communities
in all levels of need."
