Former Army Signal Brigade Cmdr and Chief of Staff Joint Staff J6, Col Brian Hurley, (USA, Ret.) joins Smartronix

Former Army Signal Brigade Commander and Chief of Staff for Joint Staff J6, Col Brian Hurley, (USA, Ret.) joins Smartronix as VP

California, Maryland and Arlington, Virginia – 15 December 2008 – Smartronix, Inc. is pleased to announce that Brian Hurley has joined the company as a Vice President. In his role, Hurley has responsibility for leading Smartronix’ strategy as it relates to company positioning within its Army and Combatant Command markets.

Prior to joining Smartronix, Hurley served as a Colonel within the U.S. Army Signal Corps. Most recently he served as the Chief of Staff for the Command, Control, Communications and Computers Directorate (J6), The Joint Staff. Hurley has also held the positions of Chief of Net-Centric Division, The Joint Staff; Commander, 11th Signal Brigade, Fort Huachuca; Chief Operations Officer (G3), U.S. Army Network Command, Fort Huachuca; and Commander, 50th Signal Battalion (Airborne), Fort Bragg.

His expertise lies within net-centric operations, information assurance, wide area networks, concept development, capabilities assessment/analysis, and systems integration. Hurley earned an M.A. from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, National Defense University.
