Smartronix Presents At Two Technology Conferences
California, Maryland - 27
October 2006 –
Smartronix recently presented at two technology conferences
Oracle OpenWorld and Dayton Info Tech. Presentations for Oracle
OpenWorld were by invitation only and the Dayton Info Tech
Business Seminars were selected from abstracts received from
companies wishing to present.
Oracle's OpenWorld annual event introduces Oracle's corporate
vision and new products and capabilities; and provides hands-on
demonstrations. This year's event included speakers such as
Oracle CEO, Larry Ellison, and Dell's CEO, Michael Dell. This
premier Oracle event was attended by more than 42,000 people.
Smartronix presenters at Oracle OpenWorld were Ms. Deb Arnold
and Mr. Sean Britton. They presented a briefing on 'SQL
Developer Unleashed,' that provided an overview of the Oracle
SQL Developer tool and a demonstration showing the power behind
the tool. Topics included browsing database objects; creating,
editing, and debugging SQL and Pl/SQL code; producing reports;
and providing extensions with the capability to create your own
or use Oracle Java based APIs.
Dayton Info Tech is an annual event where vendors present the
latest technologies within the Department of Defense (DoD)
Information Technology arena. Dayton Info Tech had more than 50
vendors, to include IBM, CSC, Dell, Accenture, and other DoD
contractors. Smartronix presenters, Mr. Rick Rumsey and Mr. Sean
Britton, presented 'Managing ERP with RAC and GRID Control.' The
presentation touched on managing Enterprise Resource Planning
(ERP) systems from an enterprise perspective. They provided an
overview of backup and recovery, Oracle's Dataguard, RMAN,
clustering technologies, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Grid
Control, and tuning the middle tier and database.
Smartronix provides enterprise solution architects with
expertise in Oracle's products, including the Oracle database,
Oracle Application Server, and Oracle11i E-Business Suite. As an
example, Ms. Arnold, Mr. Britton, and Mr. Rumsey bring more than
44 years of Oracle experience in custom development and Oracle's
E-Business suite.
