Smartronix Upgrades ISO/IEC 20000-1 Certification to 2011 Version and Cloud
Services
Hollywood, MD – 28 May 2013 - Smartronix announced
today that it has upgraded its ISO/IEC 20000 certification to
the newest standard, dated 2011. Based on the ITIL® (IT
Infrastructure Library) framework of individual best practices
for ITSM processes, ISO/IEC 20000 remains the organizational
standard of excellence for IT service management and delivery.
The main changes focus on closer alignment with ISO 9001, the
standard for quality management systems, which Smartronix has
been following for nearly a decade.
Along with the upgrade to the 2011 version, the
scope of the certification now covers the Smartronix Managed
Cloud Hosting and Services Offerings. "As a leading provider of
cloud services, we felt it was important to formally demonstrate
that our managed cloud solutions are designed, transitioned, and
delivered in accordance with the highest global standards and
that it is further evidence of our commitment to delivering
quality solutions efficiently," states Joe Gerczak, Executive
Vice President, Emerging Solutions/Programs.
ISO/IEC 20000 certification indicates an
organization is utilizing an integrated process approach to
plan, implement, operate, monitor and improve its service
management system in order to consistently deliver cost
effective, quality, IT services. Specifically, the
Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology is applied for continual
improvement of services that will allow us to not only offer the
initial savings realized by consuming cloud solutions, but will
continue to provide future efficiencies for our client base.
