Smartronix Awarded DOT Web Agility Contract

3 September 2010 – Smartronix announces the award of
a $25M Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) five year
to provide Web site management support services for the
Department of Transportation (DOT).
Within the scope of this effort, Team Smartronix will support
the office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) for DOT in
the development of Web sites, applications, and web platforms. A
host of agile Web solutions will be evaluated to support the
rapidly growing DOT web environment specifically in the areas of
Web site support, application building, and migration.
Smartronix brings together a visionary and creative team of
industry experts in open government data, Cloud hosting and
security, Web design, social collaboration, and emerging Web
technologies. Most notably, this team, consisting of Smartronix
(as prime contractor), Synteractive, and TMP Government, with
close collaboration from Microsoft, successfully implemented
Recovery.gov 2.0 and is currently modernizing Treasury.gov.
Leveraging its collective expertise in Web design, hosting,
application development, Microsoft enterprise application
deployment, and emerging Web technologies the team is focused on
providing innovative solutions for the DOT Web environment.
