Smartronix Remains Committed to Workforce Excellence as Acknowledged in Vault’s
2012 Ranking
Hollywood, MD –
4 January 2012 – For 2012, Vault, the most
comprehensive resource for career management advice, awarded
Smartronix the overall #4 ranking in the Vault Technology
Consulting 25. Releasing new innovative benefits, providing
workplace flexibility, treating consultants like a person...not
a number, and continuing to develop and endorse wellness
programs – it is no wonder Smartronix remains in the forefront
of best places to work.
The Technology Consulting 25 was compiled using a new weighted
formula that reflects the issues that consultants care the most
about. This ranking combines Vault's former "Best to Work
For" ranking with the overall prestige ranking. Of the 16
categories, Smartronix ranked #1 in six categories, including
work/life balance, compensation, and leadership. As part of the
Vault research, more than 1,500 consultants of all levels were
asked to assess their peer consulting firms based on
"prestige" and to rank their own firms on a range of
"quality of life" criteria. "Company culture was
their most important determining factor when choosing an
employer. This notion has certainly affected which firms ranked
highest in the Vault Technology Consulting 25," stated Mr.
Brian Dalton, Managing Editor, Vault.com.
Smartronix is particularly proud of this achievement, as
securing rankings in the top four spots or higher for all
categories, speaks loudly of the company’s core beliefs in how
people are treated. "The customer and employee focus of the
company is what separates us from others" said one
Smartronix employee during the survey process. Mr. Dalton also
stated "Smartronix offers the intangibles job seekers are
looking for when choosing an employer – strong firm culture,
overall job satisfaction, an excellent work-life balance, and
competitive compensation."
Smartronix is pleased to be affiliated with Vault and the other
fine companies included in the 2012 edition of the Top 25
Information Technology (IT) consulting companies. "As a
mid-tier company, we look for the things that differentiate us
from our jumbo competitors and allow our employment value to
stand above the rest. It is not all about the salary as many
initially may think in these difficult economic times,"
says Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Relations,
Ms. Laurell Aiton. Currently 10% of the workforce at Smartronix
have choose to return to Smartronix after experiencing
employment with another company and 40% of new hires are
referred to Smartronix by a current employee.
