Smartronix Helps Paralyzed Veteran Acquire the "Huntmaster"
Stafford, VA –
08 November 2010 – Smartronix Inc., along with other
local businesses, is proud to have contributed a donation in
support of the Quantico Injured Military Sportsman Association
(QIMSA). Funds were used to purchase the Huntmaster. The
Huntmaster is a wheelchair accessible adaptive tower device that
lifts from the ground to a height of 20 feet above ground to
support either a hunting effort or camera safari. The donation
was made through the Paralyzed Veterans of America Outdoor
Recreation Heritage Fund. Fund Chairman Joseph Fox acknowledged
the gifts as “providing many sports opportunities to our
paralyzed veterans and enhancing the quality of life for
veterans with spinal cord injury and disease.�? A dedication
ceremony was held today at the Quantico Game Check Station.
Present at the dedication were Col Mayer, Commander of the
Wounded Warrior Battalion at Quantico; Col Choike, Quantico Base
Commander; and Mr. Fred Salo, representing QIMSA. Steve
Gaudreau, Director Client Relations/Advocacy attended on behalf
of Smartronix, and was honored to be part of a team that gives
back to our community.
