Smartronix Recognized as Among The First AWS Managed Service Partners Approved
With The New Audit Requirements
Herndon, VA – April 9, 2015
– Smartronix, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Premier
Consulting Partner, announced today that it has become an
AWS Managed Service Partner as part of the new AWS Managed
Service Program, which was announced last November during
AWS re:Invent.
The AWS
Managed Service Partner
designation is granted to a distinct group of APN Partners
who pass a rigorous third-party audit that proves they
possess deep AWS knowledge in conjunction with the specific
IT Service Management capabilities aligned to deliver cloud
managed services. These APN Partners have demonstrated
previous customer success on AWS and need to consistently
demonstrate their ongoing customer obsession.
Smartronix
EVP, Technology
& Strategy Robert Groat noted, "Managed
services is a critical
part of our enterprise cloud lifecycle offerings, which
extend from strategy through implementation and
operations. This audit covered processes and policies
with specific
focus on our AWS expertise across the entire spectrum.
With this new program, AWS is raising the bar to ensure
high-quality customer engagements through the
channel."
"The
AWS Managed Service
Program recognizes APN Partners like Smartronix who deliver
an end-to-end AWS Cloud managed service experience for their
customers," said Terry Wise, Vice President of
Worldwide Partner Ecosystem, Amazon Web Services, Inc.
"Smartronix has been a long-standing APN Partner and
passing our rigorous third-party audit is further evidence
of their commitment to enabling customers to migrate and run
mission-critical applications on the AWS Cloud."
Having
delivered AWS cloud
solutions to the United States Department of the Treasury,
other Federal and
civilian agencies, and dozens of commercial and enterprise
customers, Smartronix has a long history of managing
customer environments on AWS. Smartronix CloudAssured
Managed Services are certified ISO 9001-2008 for quality
management systems, CMMI Level 3 certified for Product and
Service Deployment, and ISO/IEC 20000:2011 certified for
IT Service Management (ITIL). Smartronix solutions also have
met the rigorous FISMA Moderate and FedRAMP requirements for
Federal cloud deployments. "AWS services are a critical
part of our customer’s business strategy and focus.
The commitments we make to achieving these accreditations
significantly differentiate us from other providers in the
marketplace who view cloud services as ancillary to their
business," states Groat.
