TARCES

Full Life-Cycle Systems Engineering Support

As the prime contract holder, Smartronix provides engineering services in support of telecommunications and related communication-electronics (C-E) systems (TARCES) to enable efficient information exchange of voice, video, and data for the customer. This includes research, design, engineering, development, analysis, prototyping, fabrication, integration, installation, test and evaluation, training, and logistics support of telecommunication and related C-E systems, subsystems, and components.

TARCES requirements span Systems Engineering; Design & Analysis; Development, Prototyping & Mod; Integration, Installation & Training; Test & Evaluation; Special Engineering & Applications; Facility Design & Upgrade; Cable Plant Design & Installation; Logistics Support; and Hardware Tracking Support. The resulting systems are employed within user locations or platforms, including shipboard, shore-based (fixed, transportable, and ground mobile), airborne, and handheld. Normal operating conditions for the systems range from office environments to harsh and environmentally unfriendly operating environments. The telecommunication and related C-E systems are implemented, primarily using Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment, to meet a variety of communication connection requirements, including line-of-sight (LOS), global, point-to-point, networked, or broadband access. The technologies applied to the telecommunication transmission systems designed, developed, and implemented meet or enhance performance requirements within strict cost effectiveness and maintainability constraints.
